5月28日，极目新闻记者实地探访发现，武昌司门口黄鹤楼地铁口新红墙已建成，预计本月底对外开放。新红墙位于地铁上盖的“胭脂浮岛”上，离黄鹤楼更近，打卡场地也更大。据了解，老红墙位于地铁5号线司门口黄鹤楼站附近，目前仍保留了一段，可供游客打卡拍照。等新红墙开放后，老红墙才会拆除。
On May 28, reporters from Jimu News confirmed during a site visit that construction of the new red wall near the Yellow Crane Tower Metro Station at Simenkou, Wuchang District has been completed. The revamped iconic photo spot is scheduled to open to the public by the end of May.
Located on the “Yanzhi Floating Island” — an overhead podium built atop the metro station — the new red wall stands closer to the Yellow Crane Tower and offers a larger space for visitors to take photos.
The original red wall, situated near Simenkou Yellow Crane Tower Station on Metro Line 5, has been partially preserved for tourists to visit and take pictures. Demolition work on the old wall will not start until the new one opens to visitors.
