A new round of severe convective weather is forecast to hit Hubei Province from the night of May 23 to May 26, with the strongest period expected between May 24 and 25, according to Hubei Meteorological Observatory.
Localized downpours and thunderstorms withstrong winds of 8 to 12levels are expected during the period in the province. On May 25, cities including Huanggang will continue to see heavy to torrential rains.
Accumulated rainfall during the period is expected to reach 70 to 150 mm across the province, with some areas in northeastern Hubei possiblyamounting up to 300 mm. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
