Wuhan Tianhe International Airport handled 1.52 million inbound and outbound trips in 2025, ranking first among all border ports in central China, Wuhan Entry-Exit Immigration Inspection Station said.
Inbound trips made by foreign visitors surged to more than 120,000 in 2025, ascending by 33.68 percent year on year.
The surge in travelers is due to China's mutual visa exemption agreements with other countries, the 240-hour visa-free transit policy and other favorable policies, attracting visitors from around the world.
To date, the airport haslaunched 22 international passenger routes with more than 170 weekly inbound and outbound flights, connecting 15 countries and regions across four continents - Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
