Guangshui City has been abuzz with excitement in recent days as 56 high-achieving alumni returned to their hometown, not only rekindling old friendships but also kickstarting a major economic uplift by launching 15 transformative projects with a combined investment of nearly 6 billion yuan.

8月15-16日，湖北广水举行“情系广水·共筑未来”校友回归活动，首批56位从广水走出的校友在政府的邀约下回到故乡，企业签约的同时，25位校友受聘为该市科技顾问。在16日举行的集中签约活动中，3组共15个项目签约总金额近60亿元。
On August 15 and 16, Guangshui City in Hubei Province hosted an alumni homecoming event themed “Longing for Guangshui, Building a Shared Future.” Invited by the municipal government, the first cohort of 56 accomplished alumni returned to their roots. During the event, 25 alumni were appointed as technology consultants to local enterprises, while a centralized signing ceremony on August 16 saw the formalization of 15 projects spanning three key sectors, with investments totaling approximately 6 billion yuan.
极目新闻记者发现，此次签约项目涵盖多个前沿领域：中翼云创投资5亿元的低空经济项目，将建设飞行学院和科技创新馆；广水联合产业投资集团与中建四局合作，打造月光海文旅康养综合体；多个智能科技、现代农业项目同步落地。“我们计划通过专业运营，将月光海年游客量从现在的50万提升至500万人次。”广水市联合产业投资集团有限公司董事长余晓军信心满满地说。
According to a report by Jimu News, the newly signed projects encompass cutting-edge industries. For instance, Zhongyiyunchuang Technology Co., Ltd. will invest 500 million yuan in a low-altitude economy initiative, featuring a Flight Academy and a science and technology museum. In a joint venture between Guangshui United Industrial Investment Group Co., Ltd. and China Construction Fourth Engineering Division Corp., Ltd., the Moonlight Sea area (Xujiahe Reservoir) in Guangshui County will undergo a cultural, tourism, and wellness revamp. Additionally, projects in intelligent technology and modern agriculture are set to launch. Yu Xiaojun, chairman of Guangshui United Industrial Investment Group, expressed confidence: “Through professional operations, we aim to boost annual tourist numbers at Moonlight Sea from 500,000 to 5 million.”
以乡情为媒，广水校友成为招商大使。来自北京某机构的吴伦敏每年都会引荐几个项目落地广水，此次低空经济项目也是由他引荐而来。
Driven by their unbreakable ties to their hometown, Guangshui’s graduates have emerged as vital investment ambassadors. Wu Lunmin, a Beijing-based institution representative, has championed multiple projects for the city, including the recently introduced low-altitude economy venture.
以智力反哺桑梓。清华大学五道口金融学院金融安全研究中心主任周道许表示，作为此次受聘的25位技术顾问之一，他将持续运用自身资源，为“农文旅能一体化”发展出谋划策。
Contributing expertise to local development, Zhou Daoxu, director of the Financial Security Research Center at Tsinghua University’s PBC School of Finance and one of the 25 appointed technical advisors, vowed to mobilize resources to advance integrated “agriculture, culture, tourism, and energy” initiatives.
校友朱春东是武汉理工大学材料学院教授、博士生导师。在校地校企签约仪式上，朱春东教授与湖北德乐电力董事长左红炎签订共建企校联合创新中心协议。德乐电力是一家从事电力专业设备制造的企业。“我们将帮助企业提升产品性能，为智能化、自动化设备改进和研发提供全面技术支持。”教授朱春东说。
Zhu Chundong, an alumnus,professor and PhD supervisor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Wuhan University of Technology, signed an agreement to establish an enterprise-university joint innovation center with Zuo Hongyan, chairman of Hubei Dele Electric Power, during the school-locality and school-enterprise signing ceremony. Dele Electric Power primarily manufacturesspecialized power equipment. “We will assist the company in enhancing product performance and provide comprehensive technical support for the improvement and R&D of intelligent and automated equipment,”said Professor Zhu Chundong.
“我们建立的广水籍在外人才信息库，已吸纳5700余名学子、2万余名在外优秀人才入库。”广水市委组织部相关工作人员介绍，广水先后累计举办50余场次“请老乡、回故乡、建家乡”活动，成功吸引600余名乡贤能人回乡创业，投资项目达560余个。
“We have established a database of talent information for Guangshui natives living outside the city, which currently includes over 5,700 students and more than 20,000 outstanding talents residing elsewhere,” a relevant staff member from the Organization Department of the Guangshui Committee introduced. Guangshui has successively held a total of more than 50 events under the theme “Welcoming Our Townsfolk Back to Bolster Our Town’s Future”, effectively drawing over 600 skilled locals to return and start businesses, with investment projects exceeding 560.
广水市委书记杨光胜承诺，对于引进来的项目，将在政策保障上顶格发力，实行“一企一策”“一事一议”，提供定制化、个性化的政策支持包。在金融服务、土地、用工、水电气等关键要素上予以重点保障、重点倾斜。提供“保姆式”服务，弘扬“不叫不到、随叫随到、服务周到、说到做到”四到精神，推动项目早开工、早投产、早达效，让大家在广水创业一路顺心。
Yang Guangsheng, secretary of the Guangshui Municipal Committee, pledged unwavering policy support for the new projects, including tailored “one enterprise, one policy” packages and prioritized access to financing, land, labor, and utilities. The city will also offer “nanny-style” services and uphold the “Four On-Call Spirits”—responding promptly, delivering thoughtful assistance, and honoring commitments—to ensure swift project implementation and success. “Our goal is to ease the entrepreneurial journey for all returning talent,” Yang emphasized.
