北京时间8月4日凌晨，在巴黎奥运会网球女子单打比赛中，来自湖北十堰的郑钦文赢得了冠军，这是中国军团奥运史上的首枚网球单打金牌，郑钦文创造了历史。
Early morning on August 4th Beijing time, Zheng Qinwen, China’s Olympic tennis player hailing from Shiyan, Hubei, was crowned champion in the women’s singles event at the Paris Olympics. Zheng Qinwen made history after bringing home China’s first-ever gold for the Olympic tennis singles.
“今天虽然我很累，我却感觉可以继续打。即使现在让我为我的国家再打三个小时，我仍然愿意再来一次。”在半决赛后，郑钦文在接受采访时如此说。为国而战的郑钦文笑到了最后。
“Although today was exhausting, I felt like I could keep playing. If I were asked to play another three-hour match for my country right now, I would willingly do it all over,” Zheng Qinwen stated in an interview after the semifinals. Zheng Qinwen, who played tirelessly for her country during the games, rose to victory in the end.

郑钦文是什么时候开始规划自己梦想的？据父亲郑建坪回忆，从小活泼爱动的郑钦文在6岁（2008年）的一天，父女两人外出，郑钦文不肯坐车非要跑过去。“她说多走路多跑步，能锻炼身体，以后可以参加奥运会比赛。”之后郑建坪带女儿去北京看了奥运会，郑钦文表现出了对网球的兴趣。
When did Zheng Qinwen begin mapping out her dream? According to her father Zheng Jianping, Zheng Qinwen has always been energetic and active since childhood. When she was 6 (in 2008), during an excursion with her father, she turned down a ride in the car and insisted on running instead. “She said it was good exercise, and that she would someday compete in the Olympics.” Following the incident, Zheng Jianping took his daughter to Beijing to watch the Olympics during which she showed an interest in tennis.
回十堰后，她开始参加网球训练。当地的网球教练很快发现，这个小女孩的力量明显比同龄人强，说她有“冠军相”。
Upon returning to Shiyan, she enrolled intennis training. The local tennis coach soon discovered that this little girl was significantly stronger than her peers, stating she had the looks of a champion.
两年后郑钦文到武汉学球。武汉网球队主教练谢纯曾带她训练过一段时间，他回忆，当时和郑钦文一起训练的还有两个女孩，比较起来郑钦文有些不足，她妈妈有些担心。谢纯向其妈妈解释，职业网球很漫长，小时候重点在于打基础，不强求很快出成绩，“就像弹钢琴五个手指头要均衡，为以后弹世界名曲做准备。”谢纯这个理论，郑妈妈和郑钦文听进去了。“郑钦文是个很实诚的孩子，就像她打球一样，很扎实。”
Two years later, Zheng Qinwen relocated to Wuhan to learn tennis. Xie Chun, the head coach of the Wuhan tennis team, once trained her for a period of time. He recalled that there were two other girls training with Zheng Qinwen at the time, and Zheng was somewhat underpowered in comparison, which concerned her mother. Xie Chun explained to her mother that professional tennis is a long journey, and the focus during these early childhood stages was to lay a solid foundation, rather than pursueimmediate results.“It’s just like playing the piano; one needsto balance all five fingers, in preparation for playing world-renowned music in the future.” Xie Chun’s analogy struck a chord with Zheng’s mother and Zheng Qinwen. “Zheng Qinwen is a very sincere young girl, much like her style in tennis—very sturdy.”
武汉良好的网球训练环境，给郑钦文打下了坚实的基础。“那时训练的一批女孩子中，郑钦文给人的印象最深，她训练肯动脑子，又能吃苦，大家都觉得她能打得出来。”
Wuhan’s excellent training environment laid a solid foundation for Zheng Qinwen. “Among the trainees at that time, Zheng Qinwen left the biggest impression on her trainers. She was willing to think during training and pushed through challenges. Everyone was sure she would someday go places.”
郑钦文对自己的特点和优势认识得很清楚，“我是一个非常具有进攻性的球员，但之前我的打法就是缺乏耐心。所以后来我就一直调整，在保持进攻犀利的同时，让自己冷静下来，一分一分去处理，目前我觉得自己还是做得挺好的。”郑钦文说。
Zheng Qinwen is well aware of her traits and strengths as an athlete, “I’m a very aggressive player, but my previous style of playing lacked patience so I have been working on that. So far I think I’m doing pretty well. I keep my composure on the court while also executing perfect shots, and focusing on getting one point at a time,” said Zheng Qinwen.
2019年末，郑钦文的世界排名仅在700名开外，两年多之后，她的世界排名就蹿升到了前100以内，再到如今世界排名第8位，她已经完成了自己世界排名冲进前10的梦想。“火箭女孩”，这个外号贴切地反映了郑钦文在世界网坛的跃升速度。
At the end of 2019, Zheng Qinwen's world ranking was in the 700s. More than two years later, her world ranking had soared to the top 100, and now she is ranked 8th in the world. Zheng has fulfilled her dream of breaking into the top 10 in the world. Zheng’s nickname, “Rocket Girl”, perfectly captures the speed of Zheng Qinwen's rise in the world of tennis.

虽然在网球世界中，还属于相对年轻的新生代选手，但郑钦文已经有了一个霸气十足的绰号——“女王”。
Despite being a relatively young player in the tennis world, Zheng Qinwen already has a resounding nickname - “Queen Wen”.
这来自她名字的谐音，钦字的发音接近英文的“女王”（Queen），从默默无闻的小将，到声名鹊起的天才少女，郑钦文的崛起之路，不只是天赋那么简单。
The nickname is a play on words, derived from the Chinese character in her name “Qin” which sounds like the English word “Queen”. From an unknown rookie to a well-known rising star, Zheng Qinwen's ascent to fame is far more than merely a natural athletic talent.
除了天赋，郑钦文更令人印象深刻的，是她在网球上投入的精力和汗水。
Aside from her talent, even more impressive is Zheng’s tireless dedication to tennis.
“我人生中没有见过任何其他球员像钦文那样努力。”今年澳网期间，郑钦文的教练佩雷·里巴在接受采访时也忍不住发出这样的感叹。“她永远准备好了训练，一直非常刻苦。”“我甚至有点生气了，有时甚至会因此争吵，因为她总是想练得更多，你可以想象，她对梦想有多么执着。”
During this year’s Australian Open, Zheng Qinwen’s coach Pere Riba could not help but rave about Zheng in an interview, “I have never seen any other player in my life work as hard as Qinwen.” “She is always ready for training and works extremely hard. I even get a bit angry. Sometimes we’ve even argued about it because she always wants to practice more. You can imagine how invested she is in her dreams.”
“我觉得年轻人必须出去闯荡，为自己的梦想战斗。”郑钦文的解释十分简洁直白。
“I think young people should take chances and fight for their dreams,” Zheng Qinwen's explanation was very concise and straightforward.
正是因为如此，无论是面对顶尖球员，还是世界排名低于自己的对手，郑钦文总能够拿出一颗不变的求胜之心。
Whether facing top players or opponents ranked below her, Zheng Qinwen always maintains an unwavering competitive spirit.
“大家毕竟都是人，我又不是在跟外星人打比赛。”这是她在2022年法网挑战世界第一球员斯瓦泰克前所说的话。后来她也曾在接受采访时自信表示，自己有实力战胜任何球员。
“After all, we are all human beings, and I’m not playing against aliens.” These were Zheng’s words before challenging the world’s No. 1 player IgaSwiatek at the 2022 French Open. Later, she also confidently stated in an interview that she has the skills to defeat any player.

半决赛战胜从未战胜过的斯瓦泰克后，郑钦文赛后表示，“是为国比赛给予了我更多力量”，“今天虽然我很累，我却感觉可以继续打。即使现在让我为我的国家再打三个小时，我仍然愿意再来一次。”
After her semi-final victory over IgaSwiatek, whom she had previously always lost to, Zheng Qinwen said after the match, “It was the thought of competing for China that strengthened me”, “Although today was exhausting, I felt like I could keep playing. If I were asked to play another three-hour match for my country right now, I would willingly do it all over.”
职业球员打奥运会，完全是为国而战。因为奥运会的比赛是零积分零奖金的，相对于大满贯、巡回赛等有高额奖金的比赛，参加奥运会完全是球员爱国心在驱动。
Competing in the Olympics as a professional tennis playeris entirely a battle for one’scountry, as victory at the Olympic Games comes with no prize money. Compared with Grand Slams, tournaments, and other matches with high monetary bonuses, participating in the Olympics is a choice solely driven by an athlete’s patriotism.
在第三轮比赛中，郑钦文用了3个多小时赢下对手；仅仅不到24小时，郑钦文在八强战中又用时3个多小时，战胜了前世界第一科贝尔，这场胜利让郑钦文成为继李娜之后，第二位闯入奥运会女单四强的中国球员。
In the third round, Zheng Qinwen played for over 3 hours before defeating her opponent; less than 24 hours later, she spent another 3 hours in the quarterfinal, claiming yet another victory over the former world champion AngeliqueKerber. With this feat, Zheng Qinwen became the second Chinese player after Li Na to join the ranks of the top four for the Olympic women’s singles.
“这次的奥运会我肯定会拼尽一切，即使身体需要倒在场上，我也一定会付出所有。”跻身四强后，激动的郑钦文泪洒赛场，“因为这场比赛真的太艰难了。这可能是我职业生涯里打过最艰难的一场比赛。我从来都没有连续两天征战这么长时间。其实打到后面我已经没劲了，有一段时间我都已经喘不过气了，腿真的像灌了铅一样重。”
“I will definitely do my utmost during this year’s Olympic Games. Even if it means playing till I drop dead on the court, I will give it everything.” After making it to the top four, Zheng Qinwen broke down in joy on the court, “Because this game was really challenging. This may be the toughest game I have ever played in my career. I have never played such long matches for two consecutive days. I was actually drained towards the end of the game. For a moment I could barely catch my breath or move my legs, they felt like lead.”
为国征战的信念在支撑着郑钦文，也给了她足够的信心，从胜利走向胜利。
Winning for her country has been Zheng Qinwen’s driving force, a boost to her confidence that has powered her from victory to victory.
