3月20日上午，在湖北省奥体中心的网球场上，2024年ITF国际青少年网球巡回赛武汉站比赛正在火热进行中。C2场地上的这场女子单打1/8决赛引人关注，16岁的湖北选手魏彰倩，本届赛事女子单打1号种子，以2:0战胜对手成功晋级，“接下来，我会一场一场地去拼！”魏彰倩表示。
On the morning of March 20, on the tennis court of the Hubei Provincial Olympic Sports Center, the Wuhan Tournament for the 2024 ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors was in full swing. Drawing much attention, was the women's singles 1/8 finals on the court C2. The 16-year-old Hubei player Wei Zhangqian, the leading candidate in the women's singles this tournament, defeated her opponent 2:0 and successfully advanced to the next round. “Moving forward, I will fight through each game!” Wei said.

本次比赛是湖北今年承办的最高规格的青少年网球比赛，共有来自12个国家和地区的96名运动员报名参赛。湖北队派出了16名运动员参赛，截至记者发稿时止，魏彰倩和吴汝茜均在女子单打1/8决赛和女子双打1/4决赛中取胜，继续向更好成绩发起冲击。
This tournament is the highest-level for junior tennis to be hosted in Hubei this year. A total of 96 players from 12 countries and regions signed up to participate in the tournament. Hubei’s team delegated 16 players, whom as of press time, Wei Zhangqian and Wu Ruqian both won the women's singles 1/8 finals and the women's doubles quarter-finals,and are continuing to strive for even better results.

While Wei Zhangqian swung her racket on the court, her father filmed her on his phone. Wei's father told the Jimu News reporter that he enjoys playing tennis in his spare time. Under his influence, his daughter also took to tennis since she was a child. “I initially hoped that playing tennis could simply be her way of keeping fit, but what I didn’t expect was she would get really good at it overtime, and eventually turn it into a professional career.
自2023年起，魏彰倩开始出战ITF国际青少年网球巡回赛的比赛，除了国内外，她还远赴欧洲、非洲等地征战，去年武汉站的比赛，她夺得了亚军。在经历了十余站的拼争后，从0积分起步的她，目前在国际（青少年）最新排名为第115位，在国内位居第二。
Since 2023, Wei Zhangqian has begun competing in the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors. In addition to competing nationwide, she has also competed internationally in Europe, Africa and other places, even winning runner-up in the Wuhan Tournament last year. After competing in more than ten tournaments, starting with 0 points, she is currently ranked 115th worldwide (juniors) and second in China.
值得一提的是，ITF国际青少年网球巡回赛正是当今众多网坛名将年少时“打怪升级”的成长舞台，这其中就包括郑钦文。“我也希望像她（郑钦文）那样，未来能站在四大满贯的赛场上，那样的感觉太棒了！”魏彰倩的眼神里透着无尽的向往。
It is worth mentioning that the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors has propelled the career of many well-known junior tennis players, including Zheng Qinwen, a famous tennis player who won her first championship during this tournament. “I also hope to one day stand on the field of the Four Grand Slams just like her (Zheng Qinwen). 除了女子单打和女子双打，本次比赛还设有男子单打和男子双打项目的比赛，湖北另一位小将、18岁的谢天琪先后出战了男子单打和双打的比赛。虽然均止步于正赛首轮，但双打经历了艰苦的“抢十”大战才惜败给了对手。
In addition to the women's singles and women's doubles, this tournament also featured men's singles and men's doubles. Another young player from Hubei province, 18-year-old Xie Tianqi, competed in men's singles and doubles. While he did not advance to the second round in both competitions, his performance during the doubles was marked by a fierce “tie-breaking” battle before he finally lost to his opponent.
“有点可惜！”当记者找到谢天琪时，他即将投入到训练中。“能在家门口参加这样高水平的比赛，是一次宝贵的经历，也让我看到了自身存在的一些差距。”谢天琪表示，“我会继续努力，补齐短板，力争在其他站的比赛中取得更好的成绩。”这位挥拍12年的小伙子并没有气馁，他仍在追寻着心中那个网球冠军梦，而郑钦文同样是他的榜样。

Now, whenever Hubei tennis is mentioned, Zheng Qinwen comes to mind. Indeed, the girl from Shiyan who made it to the Australian Open final this year has made rapid progress over the years. After winning her ever first Grand Slam singles runner-up in her career, her world ranking rose to No.7.
在郑钦文之后，湖北网球小将们同样在奋力争先。在2023年的学青会上，代表武汉队出战的他们夺得一金一银两铜。在青少年比赛上，他们获得30个冠军、22个亚军、24个季军。丁川、吴汝茜、李奥一进入国家网球二线队集训名单，其中丁川凭借U14组冠军的成绩入选新一期国家青少队，将参加世界青少年团体锦标赛。
Inspired by Zheng Qinwen, young tennis players in Hubei are now equally striving for the lead. At the 2023 Student (Youth) Games, competing for Wuhan, the team collectively brought home one gold, one silver and two bronze medals. In the youth competitions, they won 30 championships, 22 runners-up, and 24 third-place finishes. Ding Chuan, Wu Ruqian, and Li Aoyi entered the training list for the national second-tier tennis team. Among them, Ding Chuan owing to his performance as the U14 champion, was selected into the new national juniors’ team and will participate in the World Junior Team Championship.
