“Hubei, everywhere you go!” “Hubei welcomes you all the way from Harbin!” From Harbin’s ice castles to Hubei’s famous historical figures, tourists in Harbin experienced the best of both worlds on January 13th.
在“知音湖北 相约尔滨”宣传推介情景SHOW活动中，俞伯牙、钟子期、屈原、苏轼、李白等和湖北相关的历史名人化身推荐官，上演了一场场湖北式浪漫文化盛宴。
During the activity “Bosom friends of Hubei Meet in Erbin”, literary figures like Yu Boya, Zhong Ziqi, Qu Yuan, Su Shi, Li Bai and other historical figures with relations to Hubei were brought back to life and invited to showcase Hubei’s rich cultural legacy.

Ice Sculptures of the Yellow Crane Tower Steal the Spotlight
1月13日中午，哈尔滨中央大街街头，以黄鹤楼、武当山等标志性元素为主的“知音湖北，遇见无处不在”大型冰雕正逐渐成型，引来全国各地的游客围观拍照，成为中央大街上的显眼包。
At noon on January 13th, the large ice sculpture “Hubei, everywhere you go” along Harbin’s Central Street began taking shape. Composed mainly of iconic elements such as the Yellow Crane Tower and Wudang Mountain, this sculpture has taken centre stage in Harbin’s Central Street, attracting tourists from all over the country.

极目新闻记者看到，现场十多位师傅正在忙碌：电工师傅调试灯光，冰雕师傅打磨细节，铲车、叉车搬动和调整冰块……围观的游客一边饶有兴致地拍照，一边说道：“原来冰雕是在现场做的呀，长见识了。”“看到黄鹤楼和武当山了！”
The reporter observed over a dozen workers busy at the scene: electricians tested the lights, the sculptors polished the details, and forklift drivers moved and adjusted the blocks of ice... Visitors took pictures with great interest and said: “I had no idea ice sculptures were made on the spot.” “I see the Yellow Crane Tower and Wudang Mountain over there!”
“故人西辞黄鹤楼，烟花三月下扬州。”还有游客一边用手机直播冰雕制作的过程，一边吟诵着黄鹤楼相关的诗词。
Tourists also live streamed the sculpting process on their phones while reciting poems related to the Yellow Crane Tower: “My friend has left the west where the Yellow Crane towers; For River Town green with willows and red with flowers.”
武当张三丰和弟子“点亮”黄鹤楼和武当山冰雕，邀请游客“到武当山过几天仙侠日子”。
Zhang Sanfeng and his apprentices from Wudang Mountains “lit up” the ice lantern of the Yellow Crane Tower and the Wudang Mountain ice sculptures, and invited tourists to “spend a few days in the mystical and majestic Wudang Mountain”.

Reenacting historical tales in the Ice City
湖北历史名人陆续出场，成为冰城哈尔滨的焦点。
Real-life reenactments of well-known historical figures from Hubei took the spotlight in the Ice City.
宜昌的王昭君迎着雪花怀抱琵琶，唱起歌曲《塞北的雪》；活字印刷术的发明者毕昇，也从湖北英山穿越而来，现场表演一段黄梅戏，惊艳开嗓，人气爆棚。
Wang Zhaojun of Yichang, well known for her great beauty and valor, embraced the pipa (a traditional four-string plucked instrument) against the snowflakes and sang the song “Snow in the Northern”; Bi Sheng, the inventor of movable type printing, travelled across time from Yingshan, Hubei Province to perform Huangmei Opera live. The performances were a hit among the audience.
襄阳三国“F4”与冰雪大世界游客互动 Historical “F4” from the Three Kingdoms of Xiangyang interact with Tourists in Harbin’s Ice and Snow World
一部三国史，半部在湖北。由刘备、关羽、张飞和诸葛亮组团的湖北三国“隆中F4”在中央大街再现历史上知名的“三顾茅庐”情景。他们发出邀请：“今日兄弟三人和军师一起来到尔滨，诚邀天下英雄到湖北，笑傲江湖！”
Among the historical accounts of the Three Kingdoms, half took place in Hubei. The “Four Icons of Longzhong (today’s Xiangyang)” of the Three Kingdoms, comprised of famous ancient Chinese warlords Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and Zhuge Liang reenacted the famous historical scene of “three visits to the thatched cottage” on Central Street. They then extended an invitation: “Today, the three brothers and military strategists come to Harbin and we invite everyone to Hubei!”
高山流水遇知音。古琴声响起，让广大游客纷纷望向马迭尔音乐阳台。来自武汉蔡甸的俞伯牙和钟子期，在中央大街携《高山流水》与各地游客知音相遇。
The sound of the guqin beckoned tourists to look up to the Modern Music Balcony. Performers from Caidian, Wuhan, introduced the classic music tune “High Mountains and Flowing Water” which mainly recounts the friendship between two musicians in the Spring and Autumn Period, Yu Boya and Zhong Ziqi.
“洪湖水呀，浪呀嘛浪打浪……”《洪湖水浪打浪》响彻中央大街，与《乌苏里船歌》梦幻联动，唱出湖北与黑龙江两省的深情厚谊。更有游客跟随音乐一起律动摇摆，一派欢乐景象。
“Waters of the Honghu lake, one wave after another...” This song resounded through the Central Street, and when sang in unison with “Boat Song On The Ussuri”, it showed the deep friendship between the two provinces, Hubei and Heilongjiang. As tourists sway along to the music, the scene was nothing short of joyous.
另一边，超萌的“江豚宝宝”在中央大街跳起网络爆火的“科目三”。
Across the street, was the incredibly adorable Yangtze Porpoise Mascot performing the viral freestyle street dance challenge “Kemusan”.
湖北名人们现场还派送福袋和礼包，热情邀请大家到湖北游玩。收到洪山菜薹的哈尔滨市民，当即询问起吃法，得知其和腊肉最搭时，他跃跃欲试：“我家里没有腊肉，回去用哈尔滨的红肠来和洪山菜薹搭配，好好尝一尝湖北的味道。”
The team of Hubei’s famous historical figures also gifted audience members specialties from Hubei, and warmly welcomed all to visit. After receiving the gifted Hongshan Caitai (a purple brassica variety unique to Wuhan, Hubei that is typically grown for its shoots) Harbin locals asked on how to best prepare it. They were informed it is best paired with preserved meat, to which a local then added “I don’t have preserved meat at home, so I’ll use local Harbin Sausage instead. I have to enjoy it the authentic way.”
荆楚诗词闪耀哈尔滨
Jingchu Poetry Shining in Harbin
在哈尔滨中央大街、冰雪大世界，全国各地的游客不时偶遇湖北诗词。
Occasionally in Harbin’s Central Street and Ice and Snow World, tourists encounter poetry from Hubei.
李白、苏东坡等文化名人带领游客“跟着诗词游荆楚” “Exploring Jingchu Through Poetry”
在“跟着诗词游荆楚”打卡点，屈原、李白、苏东坡在中央大街聚首，屈原的《离骚》、李白的《将进酒》、苏东坡的《念奴娇·赤壁怀古》……在演员们声情并茂的朗诵声中，现场游客也齐声吟诵，感受着诗词的魅力，一起神游荆楚大地。
At the popular tourist spot “Exploring Jingchu through poetry”, actors portraying Qu Yuan, Li Bai and Su Dongpo gathered in Central Street to recite Qu Yuan’s Li Sao (Sorrow After Departure), Li Bai’s Qiang Jin Jiu (Invitation to Wine), Su Dongpo’s Nian Nu Jiao Chibi Huaigu (Memories of the Past at Red Cliff)… During their recital, audience members also recited in unison which gave them an experience of the charming poetry, and also a glimpse of Jingchu.
互动环节，屈原、李白、苏东坡以诗会友，与街头游客玩起了“飞花令”，从“北国风光”到“极目楚天舒”，再到“路漫漫其修远兮”，现场游客踊跃对答，一来一往中，呈现荆楚之地的浪漫诗意。
During an interactive session, the actors met other poetry lovers, and played the “Flying Flower Order” (an ancient Chinese word game), from poetic lines “See what the northern countries show” to “Looking afar to the open sky of Chu” and then to “The road ahead is long and has no ending”, with passers-by who enthusiastically answered the couplets.
以诗为媒，欢乐互动。“君不见，黄河之水天上来，奔流到海不复回。”“天生我材必有用，千金散尽还复来。”在哈尔滨冰雪大世界，当屈原、苏东坡、李白扮演者登上舞台，衣袂翩翩的古装诗人映衬着水墨风格的冰雕景观，更添一份诗情画意。李白的一首《将进酒》，更是引发现场观众齐声合诵。
With poetry as the medium, the actors and audience chanted the classic poems one after another joyfully.
“Do you not see the Yellow River come from the sky,
Rushing into the sea and never come back?”
“Heaven has made us talents, we’re not made in vain.
A thousand gold coins spent, more will turn up again.”
In the Harbin’s Ice and Snow World, when the actors played as poets Qu Yuan, Su Dongpo, Li Bai dressed in elegant ancient costumes on the stage, against the background of the ice sculpture landscape in ink style, presented a poetic and romantic scene. One of Li Bai’s poem “Invitation to Wine” triggered the audience to chant in unison.
游客说想来湖北游玩
Tourists express a desire to visit Hubei
1月13日晚，哈尔滨冰雪大世界“万人蹦迪”现场，湖北历史名人“天团”引领各地游客尽情狂欢，零下28℃的蹦迪，成为冬日最热场景。
On the evening of January 13th, at the “disco dancing” activity in Harbin’s Ice and Snow World, Hubei’s historical figures took active roles in ensuring each visitor fully enjoyed their trip. One would think it was a summer party when in reality they were dancing in -28℃.
冰雪大世界流光溢彩，五湖四海的游客热情洋溢。在梦想大舞台，湖北元素牢牢霸屏。舞台上，湖北宜昌的王昭君和屈原亮相主持，和屈原、苏东坡、李白、刘备、关羽、张飞、诸葛亮、张三丰等扮演者一道，为冰雪世界带来浓浓的荆风楚韵。
The Ice and snow world, with its dazzling bright lights, drew excited tourists from all over the country. The actors portraying Wang Zhaojun and Qu Yuan appeared as hosts, and along with Qu Yuan, Su Dongpo, Li Bai, Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhuge Liang and Zhang Sanfeng, this group of performers brought their audience at the Ice and Snow world first-hand experiences of the charming culture of Jingchu.

伴着《长江之歌》的旋律，网上火爆的“万人蹦迪”场景再现，湖北“天团”向现场发出邀约，游客们在冰天雪地中尽情狂欢摇摆，仿佛整个世界都随之律动。
As the melody of Song of the Yangtze River played during the “disco dancing” that once went viral online, Hubei’s famous historical figures swayed along with tourists in the world of ice and snow.
“原来这些人都是湖北的。”“有机会也想去湖北实地体验一下。”台下游客兴奋地举起手机拍摄。
“These performers are actually from Hubei.” “If I ever have the opportunity, I also want to visit Hubei.” Onlookers excitedly raised their phones to record the scene.
“湖北给我们带来了一场别开生面的文旅秀，让我们在哈尔滨的旅程更精彩。”来自广西的游客张琳和朋友一起跟着湖北历史文化名人“天团”打卡，拿起手机记录下一幕幕名场面。
“Hubei has brought us a unique cultural show, which has made our trip to Harbin more exciting.” Zhang Lin and his friends from Guangxi who were traveling along with the team of performers from Hubei took out their mobile phones to record the memorable scenes.
“感觉像穿越了，很有意境，我们近距离感受到了湖北的文化底蕴。”来自河北的一名游客表示，“结束哈尔滨之旅后，有了去湖北游玩的想法。”
“It feels like embarking on a journey through history, and it is very interesting. We get to feel the cultural heritage of Hubei up close.” A tourist from Hebei said, “after this trip to Harbin, I now want to travel to Hubei.”
