苏正民以新生身份再次回到大学校园 Su Zhengmin returned to the campus of ZUEL as a freshman

“重新来到武汉，回到中南大，我感觉特别亲切。”9月3日，中南财经政法大学2023级新生开学，来自四川省大凉山的彝族小伙苏正民再次回到母校，这次他的身份是该校法学院2023级硕士研究生新生。
“It makes me feel at home returning to Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) and to Wuhan.” September 3 is the day when the class of 2023 at ZUEL began their classes. Su Zhengmin, a young man from the Yi ethnic group in Daliangshan, Sichuan Province, returned to his alma mater, this time as a new graduate student in the class of 2023 at the law school of ZUEL.
2022年，苏正民从该校本科毕业。在毕业论文中，他用6000余字致谢“坎坷崎岖”但“充满了光亮和希望”的求学之路，并一一感谢65位帮助过他的好心人。致谢信的真情流露和大凉山放羊娃成长为大学生的励志故事感动了全网。去年8月，作为中南财经政法大学第24届研究生支教团一员，苏正民回到家乡支教，帮助更多大凉山的孩子走出大山。
In 2022, Su graduated from ZUEL with a Bachelor’s degree. In his graduation thesis, he used more than 6,000 words to express his gratitude for the “rough and bumpy” but “full of light and hope” journey in pursuing his studies, and thanked 65 people who have offered him help respectively. His sincere expression in the thank-you letter and the inspirational story of a shepherding boy from Daliang Mountain who grew up to be a college student moved many on the Internet. In August last year, as a member of the 24th postgraduate teaching group of ZUEL, Su returned to his hometown to teach and help more children in Daliangshan explore the world beyond the mountains.
回母校读研，毕业后还是要回大凉山
Returning to his Alma Mater for Further Education before Settling in Daliang Mountain
9月2日一早，苏正民就从家乡四川省凉山彝族自治州喜德县出发，历经一天一夜，换乘了好几趟列车，于3日清晨抵达武昌火车站。
Early in the morning of September 2, Su set off from his hometown Xide County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. After a day and night of travel, he arrived at Wuchang Railway Station in the early morning of September 3 after several transfers.
再次见到苏正民时记者发现，本就皮肤较黑的他晒得更黑了一些。他随身携带一个沉重的行李箱和红色编织袋，行李箱中装着支教时孩子写给他的信件以及支教期间获得的荣誉证书。这些信件中很多是孩子们的绘画，画中孩子们都会写到一句话——“好好学习，走出大凉山”。
The reporter noticed his dark skin had tanned even further at their second encounter. He carried a heavy suitcase and a red woven bag. The suitcase contained letters written to him by the children, as well as certificates of honor he received during his time as a volunteer teacher. Many of these letters were paintings, all written with one sentence—“Study hard for better prospects out of Daliang Mountain”.
苏正民告诉记者，这次来学校，不识汉字的母亲非要将他送到火车站，叮嘱他要认真求学。“在车上的时候，我就在想回到校园时的场景。相比于本科报到时的紧张，现在我满是期盼。”苏正民说。步入熟悉的中南大校园，在新生报到处，苏正民碰到了不少熟悉的面孔。
Su told reporters returning to school this time, his mother, who cannot read any Chinese characters, insisted on escorting him to the train station and told him to study hard. “While I was in the car, I thought about the scene when I arrived in the campus. I was quite nervous when I registered as an undergraduate, but now I am full of expectations.” Su said. Entering the campus of ZUEL, Su met many familiar faces at the freshman registration office.
此次苏正民将在学校学习三年，依然是法学院学生，攻读宪法与行政法专业。对于求学新阶段，苏正民已做好规划，他告诉记者，“未来三年，我想在学术上能有所成长和收获，多学知识，有所沉淀。”
Su will still study at the law school for another three years, majoring in constitutional law and administrative law. He has already made plans for this new stage of his studies. He told reporters, “In the next three years, I want to grow academically, acquire more knowledge and accumulate experience as well.”
苏正民说，依然会坚持做公益，依然会关心家乡凉山孩子们的成长。“我是大凉山的孩子，一定会回到家乡大凉山的，家乡需要我们回去建设，我想学更多本领，然后回到家乡去做些有意义的事情。”
Su said that he will continue to engage in charity work and care for children in his hometown. “I was born and raised in Daliangshan. I will definitely return. My hometown needs us. I want to learn more skills before returning so that I can do something meaningful.”
回家乡支教，帮山里孩子走出“心中的大山”
Returning to his Hometown to Support Education and Helping Children in the Mountains Overcome the “Mountain in Their Hearts”
“苏老师，那天我给你说了很多心里话，我感到很开心，因为这是我第一次和老师说我的心愿，而你给了我很大的鼓励。”一个四四方方的大盒子，是苏正民特别宝贝的东西，里面满满都是学生们写给他的信。
“Mr. Su, I shared a lot of my personal hardships with you that day. I felt so happy because it was the first time I had told a teacher my wishes, and you gave me a lot of encouragement.” His special treasure is a large, square box, which is full of letters written to him by his students.
去年8月本科毕业后，作为中南财经政法大学研究生支教团的一员，苏正民回到家乡凉山州，作为一名老师在越西二中开启了支教生活。初登讲台，苏老师有些担忧，自己能否上好课教好学生。开学前，他认真研读教材，在网上学习讲课视频。
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in August last year, Su returned to his hometown of Liangshan Prefecture as a member of the postgraduate teaching team of ZUEL, and started his teaching life at Yuexi No. 2 Middle School. When he first came to the podium, he was slightly worried about the quality of lessons and whether he could teach the students effectively. Before the start of new semester, he carefully studied the textbooks and online lecture videos.
2022年8月29日的第一堂课，苏正民记忆犹新。他首先跟越西二中七年级10班和19班的学生做了自我介绍，然后讲解了这堂课的基本框架和知识点，之后聊起了自己的故事。“我也是大凉山的孩子，我的起步比你们还要困难，大家可以通过自己的努力，走出凉山，去看看外面的世界。”苏正民的分享在学生们心中激起了波澜，他们主动问苏正民如何科学学习、如何提高自己的成绩、大山外的世界是怎样的……
Su still recalls his first class on August 29, 2022. He first introduced himself to the students of Class 10 and Class 19 of the seventh grade of Yuexi No. 2 Middle School, explained the basic framework and key points of the lesson, and then talked about his own story. “I am also born and raised in Daliangshan, but I had a tougher start. You can leave Liangshan and see the outside world through your hard efforts.” Su’s story aroused waves in the hearts of his students, and they took the initiative to ask Su on effective study tips, how to improve their grades and what the world was like beyond the mountains.
苏正民用一年的支教时间来回答孩子们的“问题”。课堂上他是严师带着学生们学知识，课下他是朋友和同学聊天鼓励他们求学。他的生活被可爱的学生填满，打开手机相册，三分之二的照片都是学生的。苏正民还在学校建了一个图书角，鼓励学生们借阅书籍学习。
Su, as a volunteer teacher, spent one year answering the children's “questions”. He was a strict teacher who helped students to learn in class, while also a friend, chatting with his students and encouraging them to study after class. His life was filled with his lovely students. When he browsed through photos on his mobile phone, two-thirds of the photos were of his students. He also built a library corner at the school to encourage students to borrow books to study.
不仅如此，苏正民想帮助更多的凉山孩子。他继续开展“阿依书屋”项目，在大凉山的社区、学校、乡村为家乡孩子打造书香四溢的精神家园，帮他们走出“心中的大山”。如今在各方帮助下，苏正民带领团队已经在大凉山建起了五间“阿依书屋”，还有两间书屋也马上建成。
Additionally, Su wanted to help more children in Liangshan. He continuously set up the “Ayi Bookstore” project to create a peaceful home filled with books for the children in the communities, schools, and villages of Daliang Mountain, helping them overcome “mountain in their hearts”. Now, with the help of all parties, Su and his team have built five “Ayi Bookstores” in Daliang Mountain, and two more will be completed soon.
如今苏正民回母校继续深造，他支教的越西二中也已开学，孩子们迎来了三名新的中南财经政法大学支教老师。
Now that Su has returned to his alma mater for further study, Yuexi No. 2 Middle School where he taught has also begun their new semester, with three new volunteer teachers from ZUEL.
跨越1600公里，此刻大凉山孩子的命运与武汉更紧密相连。
Spanning 1,600 kilometers, the fate of the children in Daliangshan is now more closely connected with Wuhan.
