The Sanxia Airport in Yichang City, Hubei Province, officially resumed international flights as the first plane took off from the expansion project of its international terminal on September 20, 2023.
Operated byQingdao Airlines, the flight link Dalian, Yichang andBangkok, with142 passengers on board and a load factor of 78.88 percent. All passengers go through the immigration formalities at the airport.
The expansion project of the airport’s international terminal building passed national acceptance on July 13, 2023, with an annual international passenger throughput of 500,000.
