With the support of 500 million moviegoers’ ticket purchases, Chinas 2023 summer box office has exceeded 20 billion yuan,and quite literally hit the highest record in history.
截至8月31日16时许，2023暑期档票房已经突破205亿元，共产出2部“30亿+”影片，档期票房前五名影片分别为《消失的她》（35.23亿元）、《孤注一掷》（35.1亿元）、《封神第一部》（24.77亿元）、《八角笼中》（22.04亿元）、《长安三万里》（17.98亿元）。
By 16:00 p.m. on 31 August, the summer of 2023 had witnessed a box office that exceeded 20.5 billion yuan, among which two films respectively have a box office over 3 billion. The top five films in the box office for the period are crime thriller Lost in the Stars (3.523 billion yuan),suspense thriller No More Bets (3.51 billion yuan),mythological epic Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms (2.477 billion yuan),reality-themed film Never Say Never (2.204 billion yuan)and animated feature Chang An (1.798 billion yuan).
大数据显示，共有2300多万湖北观众为2023暑期档贡献了票房，但这些观众可能还不知道，今年暑期档票房Top5影片中，豆瓣评分最高的《长安三万里》和《封神第一部》，都有武汉一家动漫公司的技术助力。

喜欢动漫的网友，对两点十分动漫这个名字不会陌生。
Animelovers would not be unfamiliar with the company: 2:10 AM Animation.
这家以武汉光谷为大本营、子公司遍布全国的动漫公司，旗下拥有《巨兵长城传》等多个热门IP，并为《英雄联盟》《阴阳师》《王者荣耀》等顶级游戏制作过人气短片。
The 2:10 AM Animation, headquartered in Optics Valley in Wuhan and established subsidiaries across the country, owns a number of popular IP, such as the animation The Great Warrior Wall, and has produced popular short films for top games like League of Legends, Onmyoji, and Honor of Kings.
而中国电影界对其另眼相看，源于2019年暑期档的票房冠军《哪吒之魔童降世》。
However, the debut attention that the company drew from China’s film industryowes to the top-grossing movie of the 2019 summer slot: the animation Nezha: Birth of the Demon Child.
两点十分当时参与制作了该片的几场重头戏，成为这部票房突破50亿的国产动画电影的幕后推手之一。很多湖北影迷都是在看到新闻后才意识到：原来武汉光谷还藏着一家这么强的动漫公司。

两点十分董事长王世勇近日接受极目新闻记者专访时确认，该公司参与制作了《封神第一部》和《长安三万里》。此外，国产科幻大片《流浪地球2》、超人气美剧《权力的游戏》、好莱坞电影《海王》等重量级影视作品，也都使用了该公司研发的软件。
Wang Shiyong, the chairman of 2:10 AM Animation confirmedin a recent exclusive with Jimu News reporter that the company was involved in the production of Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Stormsand Chang An. What’s more, software developed by this company was also used in heavy weight films like domestic sci-fi blockbuster The Wandering Earth II, the widely popular American TV series Game of Thrones, Hollywood movie Aquaman, etc.
据王世勇介绍，两点十分每年大概会参与制作200个项目，他也是在同事的提醒下才发现，原来他们对2023暑期档亦有贡献，“电影里一些高难度的群集、涉及成千上万的角色互动，这种比较难的镜头我们都会参与。”
According to Wang, 2:10 AM Animation is involved in the production of roughly 200 projects annually. He said that it was only after being reminded by his colleagues that he found out that they had also contributed to the 2023 Summer movie season. “Some difficult clusters in movies involve thousands of interactions among characters, and similar kinds of difficult scenes have witnessedour efforts.”
王世勇所说的这种高难度镜头，大多可以通过该公司拥有知识产权的“Miarmy群集模拟产品”来实现，“全球只有三款软件可以解决这个问题，加拿大的、新西兰的，然后就是我们的。”
Such difficult scenesWang described are mostly achieved by “Miarmy Crowd Simulation Product”,whose intellectual property rights are possessed by this company. There are only three software in the world can deal with such scenes, which can found in Canada, New Zealand and China.
据王世勇介绍，这款由两点十分全资子公司Basefount研发的软件，于2018年在美国荣获了第70届技术及工程艾美奖。他告诉记者，公司最初听说获奖消息时，同事们都觉得是骗子，后来反复查询核实才确认，原来真的是官方发奖。
Wang explained that the software was developed by Basefount, the wholly owned subsidiary of 2:10 AM Animation. The software won the 70th Annual Technology & Engineering Emmy Award. He told the reporter that his colleagues deemed the news to be a fraud when they first heard it before it was confirmed to be official after repeated inquiries and verification.
艾美奖是美国电视界最高奖项，与电影界的奥斯卡、音乐界的格莱美、戏剧界的托尼奖并称为美国演艺界四大奖。艾美奖细分了多个奖项，为推动电视技术工程发展而设立的技术及工程艾美奖便是其中之一，在动画和特效领域，这是首次有中国团队获得该奖项肯定。
The Emmy Award is the highest award in the U.S. television industry, and is known as the four major awards in American entertainment industry with Oscar in films, Grammy in music and Tony Award in drama. There are many sub-categories in Emmy Award, one of which is Technology & Engineering Emmy Award. It is established to promote the development of technical engineering in television. In the area of animation and special effects, it is the first time for a Chinese team to receive the award.

The Jimu News reporter noticed on the official website of National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences that the reason for the company’s Award from the Committee of Technology & Engineering Emmy Award is its economic and efficient crowd simulation product. Companies that also won the Awards that year included Microsoft, Google, Netflix, etc.

Hatching Mythological Animation Films and Laying Foundation for “Going Global”
“创作属于中国的世界级动漫。”一步入两点十分的办公区域，就能看到这句印在墙上的壮语。
“Create Chinese World-class Animation.”When stepping into the office area of 2:10 AM Animation, one can catch sight of the slogan on the wall.
这是个满怀豪情的目标，但如果回到2007年公司初创时期，连王世勇都得承认，那时的现实很难照进这个梦想。
Its an ambitious goal. But if dating back to the initial stage of the company in 2007, even Wang Shiyong has to admit that the dream was hard to be made true at that time.
“大家都知道，动漫行业在很长时间以来都是用爱发电，很难赚到钱。”学美术出身的王世勇也是“用爱发电”大军中的一员，他坚持动画行业创业16年，历经多次行业寒冬，能坚持到春暖花开，凭的就是心中的热爱二字。
“Everyone knows that for a long time, people devoted to the animation industry are powered by love and passion, and its hard to make money in this industry.” Wang Shiyong, majored in fine arts, is also a member of them. He has insisted on starting a business in the animation industry for 16 years. After several tough periods of animation industry, he is still engaged in this industry and managed to be successful with his love for it.
“我们最艰难的时候都差点发不出工资了，还要跟别人借电脑用。你可能都想象不到，我那时候一个月工资只有300块钱。”但即便这么难，王世勇和同事们也没想过放弃，“我们就是喜欢这个事情，放弃了我们去干吗？”
“The hardest time for us was when we almost had nosalaries, and had to borrow computers from others. It’s hard to imagine, but my salary was only 300 yuan a month at that time.” Despite the dire situation, Wang and his colleagues did not give up, “We just like it, what else can we do if we give up?”
过去十几年间，王世勇和团队伙伴一手开发原创内容，一手攻克生产技术，艺术与技术齐头并进，最终成就了这家扎根武汉的中国动漫“头部”企业。
In the past ten years, Wang and his team have developed original content and production technology. They made remarkable progress both in art and technology. Their efforts finally contributed to the leading enterprise of Chinese animation in Wuhan.
很多熟悉动漫行业的网友都觉得两点十分太低调，“为那么多动漫、动画电影和真人电影提供了技术支持，却深藏功与名。”王世勇告诉记者，这些年来，他们大多是作为制作方之一出现在很多影视作品的片尾字幕里，“我们一直希望能找到一个好的契机，做一部自己出品的动画电影。”
Plenty of netizens familiar with the animation industry thinkthat the company is keeping a low profile.“2:10 AM Animation provided technical support for so many animation, animated films and live-action films, but seldom talks about their deeds.” Wang Shiyong told the reporter that over the years, they mostly appeared in the closing credits of films and television works as one of the producers, “We have been hoping to find a good opportunity to produce an animated film by ourselves.”
说到这里，就引出了两点十分的“出海计划”。王世勇透露，他们正在策划神话题材动画电影，并致力于带到国际平台亮相，“我去参观美国迪士尼、皮克斯时，发现他们那边的创作人员非常向往中国的文化，但理解得都不够深刻，所以我希望能用我们自己的原创作品，去传递中国传统文化深层次的理念，在国际平台输出我们中国的价值观。”
In this light, the“Go Global Program”of 2:10 AM was established. Wang Shiyong disclosed that they are planning the production of animated films with the theme of mythology,and are committed to bringing them to the international platform, “When I visited Disney and Pixar in the United States, I found that their staff are very interested in Chinese culture, but they do not have deep understanding. So I hope to convey the profound concepts of traditional Chinese culture through our own original works, and showcase our Chinese values on international platforms.”
艺术出海，技术先行。王世勇表示，该公司研发的几款软件已经在海外得到广泛使用，“这是软件技术上的输出，此外我们的一些原创作品也在海外平台播出，在国际上获得了不错的口碑。”
“Advanced technology makes art global”. Wang Shiyong said that several software developed by the company has been widely used overseas, “This is the output of software technology. In addition, some of our original works have been available on overseas platforms, and they have gained good international reputation.”
