江城最长月季花路在哪？月季花量最爆棚的是哪条路？最美月季街角在何处？5月16日，武汉市园林和林业局首次公布10条“武汉最有特色月季花路”，各美其美，供市民打卡。
Where is Wuhan's longest Chinese rose street located? Which street has the most blooming Chinese rose flowers? Where is the most beautiful Chinese rose street corner? On May 16, the Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Gardens and Forestry announced for the first time ten of “Wuhan's most unique Chinese rose flower streets”, each with its own special beauty for locals to explore.
月季花路各美其美
Each Street of Chinese Roses Has its Own Beauty
近几年，经武汉园林人精细养护，月季在江城掀起的浪漫风潮一浪高过一浪，可谓“美出圈了”。
In recent years, due to the diligent maintenance of gardeners in Wuhan, the Chinese roses in Jiangcheng have continued to bring wave upon wave of romantic scenery, with each time surpassing the last, a “big hit” among local residents.
今年，各城区向武汉市园林和林业局推荐了48个路段和点位，经华中农业大学园艺林学学院教授王彩云、原洪山广场管理处主任段建国等专家现场评审，对各路段景观效果、养护细节、展示模式等综合打分，筛选出20条候选路段供市民网络投票评选，最终评出10条“最有特色月季花路”。
This year, each district recommended 48 road sections and points to the Wuhan Municipal Landscape Gardens and Forestry Bureau. After on-site evaluations by Wang Caiyun, a professor of the School of Horticulture and Forestry of Huazhong Agricultural University, Duan Jianguo, the former director of Hongshan Plaza Management Office, and other experts, the overall impression, maintenance, and display of each road section were comprehensively scored, and 20 candidate road sections were nominated for people to vote for online. Finally, ten “most unique Chinese rose flower streets” were selected.
花量最多的是洪山区珞狮南路，全长5600米，15万株月季花开如瀑，虽在路中央，亦人气爆棚。
The Street with the most flowers is Luoshi South Street in Hongshan District, with a total length of 5,600 meters and 150,000 roses in bloom that have created an overall effect resembling a waterfall. Although it is located in the middle of the street, it is nonetheless very popular.
花路最长的是东湖新技术开发区光谷大道，6500余株月季延展达13000米。
The longest flower street is Guanggu Avenue in Donghu New Technology Development Zone, with more than 6,500 rose plants extending 13,000 meters.
最霸气的是增色汉马的硚口区中山大道，2300米共分布1485株月季，丰花月季可爱，绯扇、粉扇等独杆月季花大色艳。
The most striking road is Zhongshan Avenue in Qiaokou District, which added color to the Wuhan Marathon. A total of 1,485 Chinese roses are distributed along the 2,300 meters stretch.
月季分布最均匀的是黄陂区机场二通道，10000米均匀分布着10820株月季。
The street with the most even distribution of roses is along the second passage of the airport in Huangpi District, with 10,820 roses evenly distributed throughout the 10,000 meters long passageway.
转角最美的是江汉区武汉市社会福利院临街花墙，朵朵月季出墙来，让路过市民不由自主放慢脚步。
The most beautiful rose corner is the flower wall facing the street of Wuhan Social Welfare Institute in Jianghan District. The blooming roses protrude from the wall, making passers-by instinctively slow down in their tracks.
汉阳区国博大道视野最佳，绯扇等树状月季，花红似火。
Guobo Avenue in Hanyang District has the best view of Chinese roses, dotted with tree-shaped roses such as Hiogi, their color as bright as fire.
花色最红的是黄陂区中环线，10000米中分带种满火红的树状月季绯扇。
The street with the most red roses is in the middle ring road of Huangpi District, with the 10,000 meters median strip lined full of fiery red tree-shaped Hiogi.
花株最萌的是洪山区白云路。花路最仙的当数经开区车谷大道。江岸区长江水利委员会临街花墙人气最高：短短260米，1056株月季流淌出“粉色瀑布”。
The street with the most adorable rose plants is Baiyun Street, Hongshan District. The most enchanting rose street is Chegu Avenue in Economic Development Zone. The flower wall facing the Yangtze River Water Conservancy Committee of Jiang'an District is the most popular, with 1056 roses planted along the mere 260 meters long strip, creating a cascading “pink waterfall”.
各色月季迷乱专家眼
Experts Dazzled by the Varied Array of Roses
“这次评选10条最有特色的月季花路，太难了！难分伯仲！”华中农业大学园艺林学学院教授王彩云称赞道，大道上也好，街巷也罢，你都能遇见月季动人的笑颜。
“It's very difficult to select just ten most unique rose flower streets! It's hard to single them out!” Wang Caiyun, a professor at the School of Horticulture and Forestry of Huazhong Agricultural University, acclaimed. Whether you are on an avenue or on a street, you can always encounter the charming scenery of roses.
“主要从质与量两个方面评审。”王彩云说，从质方面而言，月季品种是否选择得当，是否适地适花，即在合适的地方栽月季，因为月季是喜光的，不能栽在阴凉处，是否对土壤进行了改良，因开花植物需要营养，是否有病虫害，是否影响交通，景观效果如何，和周边环境是否自然融合等等；从量方面主要考虑的是数量、量级。
“It is mainly judged from two aspects, quality and quantity.” Wang Caiyun said, in terms of quality, the following are considered: whether the selected Chinese rose variety is suitable; whether the location is suitable for cultivating Chinese roses, that is, selecting a suitable location, considering roses prefer sunny to shaded areas; whether the soil has been improved, as flowering plants need nutrients; whether there are diseases or pests; whether it affects traffic and the overall effect of the landscape; whether it fits in with the surrounding environment, etc. And in terms of quantity, the main consideration is quantity and magnitude.
原洪山广场管理处主任段建国说，除了质与量，评委还要从花量、花色、长势、道路长短、规模大小、品种多少、立地环境和直观效果等多个维度来考量评定。比如，珞狮南路虽不是最长的，但品种多，花量大，色彩丰富；硚口区中山大道上的独杆月季和丰花月季，炫彩耀眼。
According to Duan Jianguo, the former director of the Hongshan Square Management Office, in addition to quality and quantity, the judges also consider and evaluate flowers from multiple dimensions such as flower quantity, color, growth, road length, scale, variety, site and visual effects. For example, although the rose street on the Luoshi South Road is not the longest, it has multiple varieties, a large amount of flowers, and rich colors. Zhongshan Avenue in Qiaokou District also has dazzling single-stem roses and Floribunda roses.
期待市民一起美化街头
Anticipating the Joint Beautification of Streets with Local Residents
“评选之意不在评，而在促进提升。”武汉市园林和林业局养护处相关负责人表示，通过打特色牌，展示对月季精细养护的成果，树立一个标杆，这个标杆不仅是园林系统的，更有社会单位的，比如机场二通道月季的管理主体就是一家企业，“我们期待更多社会单位一起美化自己的‘一亩三分地’，也期待更多市民在自家尝试养月季。”
“The purpose of the selection is not merely to evaluate the roses, but to promote improvement.” The relevant person in charge from the Conservation Department of Wuhan Gardens and Forestry Bureau explained that by doing so, the results of the fine conservation of roses are displayed, and a benchmark is set. This benchmark is not only for the gardening circle, but also for social units, for example the management body for the roses at the airport's second passageway is an example of such an enterprise, “And we hope to see more social units beautify their own ‘piece of land’, and also seeing more citizens try out at cultivating roses in their homes.”
江城街头月季版图还会扩张吗？该负责人表示，在新建道路上，月季是一个优选项，要根据实际情况来定，该局正委托武汉市园林科研院对目前30多种月季进行调查，筛选哪些品种更适合武汉生长，从而制定“月季栽植及养护技术导则”。
Will the territory for cultivating the Chinese rose in Wuhan continue to expand? The bureau's management personnel added that Chinese roses are a preferred option for newly-built streets, however the final decision will be made based on the actual conditions. The bureau has entrusted Wuhan Institute of Landscape Architecture to investigate more than 30 kinds of roses, and select which varieties are more suitable for cultivation in Wuhan. This will further inform the formulation of the “Technical Guidelines for Rose Planting and Maintenance”.
据悉，春天月季花潮过后，再等待五个月左右，还将迎来二度盛放。
It is reported that after this initial bloom in spring, the second bloom will arrive in about five months.
