据新华社电 12月20日23时15分，战斗英雄、“共和国勋章”获得者张富清，因病医治无效，在湖北武汉逝世，享年98岁。
Zhang Fuqing, a former combat hero who made meritorious achievements during the War of Liberation(1946-49) and received China's highest State honor, passed away on the night of December 20 in Wuhan, Xinhua News Agency reported.
张富清1924年12月出生于陕西洋县，1948年3月参加中国人民解放军，1948年8月加入中国共产党，1984年12月离休。
Zhang was born in Yangxian county, Shaanxi province in December 1924. He joined the People's Liberation Army and the Communist Party of China in 1948 and later retired in December 1984.
在西北解放战争中，张富清出生入死，屡获战功，获得“战斗英雄”“人民功臣”等荣誉。转业时，张富清坚决服从组织安排，奔赴湖北最偏远的来凤县。扎根山区的60多年里，他刻意尘封功绩，闭口不提战功，以至连儿女都不知情。
When serving in the Northwest Field Army, one of the main forces of the PLA during the Liberation War, he had made numerous contributions to the victories of key battles and was awarded multiple honors by the Army, including the distinguished-class merit, first-class merit and the honorary title of “Combat Hero” twice. In 1955, he retired from the army and chose to work as a grassroots official in the remote and mountainous Laifeng county, in Hubei province. For more than six decades, he deliberately hid his feats and did not mention his remarkable achievements in the army, so that even his children were unaware of them.
2018年底，在退役军人信息采集中，张富清的感人事迹被发现，这段英雄往事重现在人们面前。用共产党员的如磐初心感动中国的张富清，先后获得“时代楷模”“全国优秀共产党员”“共和国勋章”等崇高荣誉。
It wasn't until the end of 2018 that Zhang Fuqing's touching story was revealed when the government collected the information of ex-servicemen. Zhang Fuqing, who moved the whole nation with his rock-solid heart as a Communist Party member, has been awarded such lofty honors as the Role Model of the Times, the National Outstanding Communist Party Member and the Medal of the Republic.

张富清，男，汉族，1924年12月生，陕西洋县人。1948年3月参加中国人民解放军，1948年8月加入中国共产党。1955年1月转业到湖北省恩施土家族苗族自治州来凤县，先后在城关粮油所、县粮食局、县纺织公司、三胡区、卯洞公社、县外贸局、县建设银行工作，1984年12月离休。在解放大西北系列战斗中，他英勇善战、舍生忘死，荣立西北野战军特等功一次、军一等功一次、师一等功一次、师二等功一次、团一等功一次，并被授予军“战斗英雄”称号、师“战斗英雄”称号和“人民功臣”奖章。
Zhang Fuqing, male, Han nationality, born in December 1924, is a native of Yangxian county, Shaanxi province. He joined the Chinese People's Liberation Army in March 1948 and the Communist Party of China in August 1948. In January 1955, he transferred to Laifeng County, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hubei Province. In Laifeng county, Zhang successively worked for multiple institutions before his retirement in December 1984, including Chengguan Grain and Oil Institute, the Grain Bureau of Laifeng County, Laifeng County Textile Company, the Sanhu District Government, the Maodong People's Commune, the Foreign Trade Bureau of Laifeng County and the Laifeng County Branch of China Construction Bank. In a series of battles for the liberation of the Great Northwest, his bravery and fearlessness had earned him countless merits and honors including the Special Merit of the Northwest Field Army once, the first class of the Army once, the first class of the division once, the second class of the division once, the first class of the Regiment once, the title of Battle Hero in the Army, the title of Battle Hero in the Division and the Meritorious Service Medal.
2019年6月，中共中央授予张富清“全国优秀共产党员”称号，中宣部授予张富清“时代楷模”称号。2019年7月，张富清荣获“全国模范退役军人”称号。
In June 2019, the CPC Central Committee awarded Zhang Fuqing the title of National Outstanding Communist Party Member and the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee awarded him the title of Role Model of The Times. In July 2019, Zhang Fuqing was awarded the title of “National Model Retired Soldier”.

In September 2019, the General Secretary Xi Jinping conferred the Medal of the Republic on Zhang Fuqing.

2022年12月20日，张富清在汉病逝，享年98岁。
