10月16日晚7时至11时，来自湖北省罗田县的“鄂东老男孩”，在他的抖音直播室一口气播了4个小时，卖出当地老米酒300多单。
On October 16, the “Old Boy in Eastern Hubei” from Luotian County, Hubei Province, live-streamed for four hours from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on TikTok's marketing platform, selling more than 300 orders of local rice wine.

“鄂东老男孩”名叫文刚，1982年生于罗田县河铺镇凉亭河村一个普通农民家庭，虽然他身高仅1.4米，但活泼开朗、乐于助人，就像一个长不大的阳光男孩。如今，“鄂东老男孩”是中国三农领域一颗冉冉升起的带货明星，头条加抖音两大平台粉丝量260万，全网视频播放量数亿人次，一年为全国各地农产品直播带货数万单。
Wen Gang, nicknamed “Old Boy in Eastern Hubei”, was born in 1982 in an ordinary agricultural family in Liangtinghe Village, Hepu Town, Luotian County. Although only 1.4 meters tall, he is optimistic, cheerful and helpful, and his enthusiasm is just like that of a happy young boy who stayed forever young. Today, this “boy” has become a rising star in the field of “San Nong” or “Three Rural Issues”（San Nong, translated “Three Rural Issues” refers to the three issues relating to rural development in China, that is agriculture, rural areas, and farmers) in China. As an influencer attracting 2.6 million followers on the two major video-streaming platforms, Toutiao and TikTok and achieving hundreds of millions of view counts, tens of thousands of orders of agricultural products have been sold through his live-streams across the country in one year.

“4小时带的300多单货到底有多少？”
“How much do you earn after selling more than 300 orders in 4 hours?”
“我代言的这个罗田老米酒，昨晚最大一单是4瓶，每瓶10公斤；最小一单1公斤。”面对记者提问，文刚对答如流。
“The largest order I sold last night of this Luotian rice wine that I am assisting in promoting and selling was 4 bottles, each bottle weighing 10 kilograms; the smallest order was 1 kg.”, Wen replied.

文刚说，几年前他开始为家乡土特产板栗、老米酒、竹笋、茶叶等代言，为老米酒带货时间最长，由于他的粉丝都是全国各地基层打工人，与老米酒独特的口感、亲民的价格很契合，销量大增，他代言的这家企业3年里一跃成当地最大老米酒企业之一。
Wen said that a few years ago, he began to endorse his hometown's native products such as chestnuts, rice wine, bamboo shoots, tea and so on. Rice wine is the product that he sells via livestream for the longest time. Since his followers are grassroots workers from all over the country who are very fond of the unique taste and affordable price of the rice wine, sales have increased significantly. The company he endorses has become one of the largest rice wine companies in the local area in three years.
2017年，从外地打工回到小山村的文刚，在今日头条注册了自己的第一个自媒体账号——“鄂东老男孩”，将平时给家乡人修家电悟到的经验以图文形式与人分享，后来又尝试将日常维修生活拍成视频发上网，想不到朴实的经验和自强的形象，让视频大受各地网友推崇，越来越多的人在网上跟他探讨家电维修话题，还有网友将自己坏掉的电器寄来修理。
Having worked out of town for many years, Wen returned to his small village in 2017, and registered his first social media account “Old Boy in Eastern Hubei” on Jinri Toutiao, a Chinese news and information content platform. On his channel, he posts pictures coupled with captions sharing his experiences repairing home appliances for his neighbors, and later even tried to take and post videos of his daily repairs. Unexpectedly, his experience and spirit of self-improvement earned his videos high praise from netizens everywhere. More and more people would engage in discussions about repairing home appliances with him on the Internet, with some netizens even sending their broken appliances for repair.

很快，“鄂东老男孩”全网粉丝数突破260万，全网视频播放量数亿人次。文刚成了网红，先后有四川、山东、河南、江西等地三农企业邀他直播带货，文刚基本上有求必应。短短3年，足迹踏遍全国大部分地区，影响力扩大到三农系统。
Soon, the number of followers of the “Old Boy in Eastern Hubei” exceeded 2.6 million, and the view counts of his videos reached hundreds of millions of views. With Wen becoming a social media influencer, many enterprises engaged in the Three Rural Issues in Sichuan, Shandong, Henan, Jiangxi and other places successively invited him to sell their goods in his live streams, and Wen basically granted whatever was requested. In just three years, he has traveled to most parts of China, expanding his influence to the system of Three Rural Issues.

很小的时候，文刚就发现自己的个子比别的小朋友矮，来自同学有意无意间的讥笑让他偷偷抹过眼泪。幸好来自家人和老师的关心与鼓励，让他慢慢接受自己的不同，不服输的精神让他变得坚强起来。
When he was very young, Wen Gang found that he was shorter in height compared to other children. He would secretly cry because of the intentional or unintentional ridicule he received from his classmates. Fortunately, the care and encouragement from his family and teachers helped him gradually accept his differences, and his unyielding spirit made him ever stronger.
2003年，文刚通过自学掌握了家电维修本领，在村里开了一家电器维修店。文刚说，找他修家电的多数是留守在家的老人，所修的也多是年头很长的老电视，他基本十几块钱就能修好，对行动不便的老人还上门服务。
In 2003, Wen mastered home appliance repair skills through self-study and opened an electrical appliance repair shop in his village. Wen said that most people who come to him to repair home appliances were the elderly who stayed at home alone, and most of the appliances they brought were old televisions they had used for many years; he could fix them by charging a dozen yuan, and he also provided door-to-door services for seniors with mobility-impairments.
为方便外出修家电，文刚买来一辆沙滩车，按自己的身体状况做了改造，此后，当地人总能看到一个身材矮小的青年人，骑着沙滩车在乡村小路上往来穿梭给人修家电的身影，文刚就这样一干十几年。
For the convenience of going out to repair home appliances, Wen bought a beach bike and modified it according to his own physical condition. Since then, the locals always see a young man of small stature, riding a beach bike on the country roads back and forth to repair home appliances for them. Wen has been working this way for more than ten years.
文刚在网上有了名气后，在外打工的弟弟文强见他又干活又拍、剪视频太辛苦，辞职回来帮忙，同时照顾家人。有弟弟帮忙拍、剪视频和谋划，文刚如虎添翼，视频质量有了稳步提升，“鄂东老男孩”爽朗的笑声，大山里一件件有趣的故事，散发着农家子弟的质朴与善良，打动了全国各地成千上万的人，几大平台账号粉丝数量飞速增长。
After Wen Gang gained online fame, his younger brother Wen Qiang, who was working away from home, quit his job and returned to help him shoot and edit his videos, while also taking care of the family at the same time, considering that it was too hard for his elder brother to all this work alone. With the help of his younger brother in shooting and editing the videos as well as planning, just like a tiger with wings, Wen's video quality has steadily improved. The hearty laughter of the “Old Boy in Eastern Hubei” and the interesting stories of life in the mountains all manifest the simplicity and kindness of the local people, touching thousands of people across the country, and the number of his followers on several major platforms has been growing rapidly.
文刚说：“我不过是老老实实地做了一点实事，当上网红完全是意外收获，我很知足并感谢全国网友的深情厚谊。今后一定会利用农村电商平台，为家乡振兴贡献一份力量。”

从自学家电维修起步，文刚如今已掌握了几乎所有带插头的电器的维修技巧；推而广之，他还会组装汽车和摩托车、无人机和单反相机了。文刚说，各种机械、电子设备之间的道理都是相通的，只要肯下功夫，一通则百通。无论遇到什么难题，文刚都不轻易说出“不会”二字，因为在农村，如果一名维修人员不会，就更不可能找到会的人了。勤奋好学肯钻研，文刚维修的范围越来越广。
Starting with the self-taught skill of repairing appliances, Wen now has mastered almost all repair skills for appliances with plugs; moreover, he has learned how to assemble cars, motorcycles, drones and SLR cameras. He said that all kinds of mechanical and electronic equipment share the same principles. If one concentrates his efforts, he will find that the skills are universal. No matter what problems Wen encountered, he rarely says “I can't”. Because in the countryside, if a repairman cannot resolve the problem, nobody can. Being diligent, studious and willing to explore, Wen’s repair skills have extended to a wider scope.
也因为出色的拍摄技巧，罗田县举行重要活动常常会邀请他去拍摄，他还会通过无人机航拍婚礼现场，企业年庆、开工、奠基典礼，人们在他的账号经常能看到在全国各地直播带货时，顺便用无人机拍下的山水风光和有趣的东西。
Also because of his excellent photography skills, he is often invited to shoot whenever Luotian County holds important activities. He can also take aerial photos of wedding scenes, corporate annual celebrations, groundbreaking and foundation laying ceremonies via drones. On his account, netizens can see both landscape scenery and interesting things shot by the drone in passing and his live commerce across the country.
由于为家乡代言带货做出突出贡献，2021年11月，文刚被增选为罗田县政协委员。
In November 2021, Wen was co-opted on to the Luotian County CPPCC for his outstanding contributions to the endorsement of his hometown.
工作之余，文刚喜欢钓鱼、开车、美食、乐器……他说，如今这个时代，想学的东西上网一查就有了，只要肯学、肯干，生活会无限精彩。
