Two natural reserves in Hubei Province joined the Chinese Biosphere Reserves Network (CBRN) at the 23rd conference held in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province from Feb.14 to 16.
The celebration of the 50th anniversary of UNESCO Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Programme was held simultaneously.
Established in 1993, the CBRN has witnessed its members grow from 45 to 191, including six in Hubei Province, namely Shennongjia National Nature Reserve,Tianezhou White-Flag Dolphin Nature Reserve, Xinluo White-Flag Dolphin Nature Reserve, Wufeng Houhe National Nature Reserve, Dalaoling National Nature Reserve and Hewangmiao Natural Reserve of Yangtze Finless Porpoise.
