每一个身处大都市的人，心中都藏着一座后花园。虽然所有人都在仰望着，那钢筋水泥之间并不算宽广的天空，但总免不了会想偷得半日闲，被水波山野环抱。
For most people living in urban areas, a backyard is a luxury they can only dream of. With only the not so wide sky surrounded by a concrete jungle to look up to, it's inevitable to crave for a relaxing escape in the nature, surrounded by rivers and mountains.
对武汉人来说，身边的公园，抛不开城市的喧嚣；郊外的山林，填不进零碎的时间。而坐落于武汉经开区的龙灵山，从中心城区的任意一个角落出发前往，车程都不到50分钟，是近两年“原地旅行”的绝佳目的地。
For Wuhanese, on the one hand the parks nearby are not enough of an escape from the city's hustle and bustle while on another hand it seems there is never enough time to enjoy the suburban mountains and forests. Longling Mountain, located in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, takes less than 50 minutes by car from anywhere in the city centre, making it an ideal destination for a “staycation” in recent two years.
去年，龙灵山景区成功列入创建国家4A级旅游景区名单。这个由废矿蝶变而成的都市“绿肺”，已成为江城的生态宝地。
Last year, Longling Mountain Scenic Spot was successfully listed in Hubei Province's recommended tourist attractions to compete for the national 4A rating. This urban “green lung” originally an abandoned mine now serves as an ecological treasure in Wuhan.
江城龙灵起，人间郁苍茫。在武汉经开区军山新城，一座小山，偏安一隅，不负春光，自然生长。
The Longling Mountain rises up from the ground, bringing infinite greenery to the local people. Situated in Junshan New Town, Wuhan Economic Development Zone, this mountain, small though it might be, nourishes everything in spring.
驶下刚刚通车的车谷大道，眼前的郁郁葱葱，便是龙灵山。初看过去，它静谧森幽、令人神往，转至云峰大道，这里早已被两侧密密麻麻的游客车辆“打搅”。
Driving down the Chegu Avenue which has just been put into operation, the Longling Mountain comes into view with its luxuriantly green scenery. At first glance, it is quiet and fascinating, but upon transferring to Yunfeng Avenue, one is instantly greeted by the heavy traffic of tourist vehicles on both lanes.
龙灵山生态公园北依硃山湖，南邻通顺河，总面积2.9平方公里，相当于100个中山公园， 内有长达13公里的山间绿道。山上的原始次森林，巨树参天、四季苍翠，处处显示出大自然风貌，在大武汉的飞速建设中尤显珍贵。
The Longling Mountain Ecological Park is adjacent to the Zhushan Lake in the north and the Tongshun River in the south, with a total area of 2.9 square kilometers equivalent to 100 Zhongshan Parks, and it owns 13 kilometers of mountain greenways. The secondary forest with giant towering evergreen trees shows the charm of its natural landscape, making it especially precious in the rapidly developing Wuhan.
这个并不算“年长”的公园，是目前武汉市最大的原始次森林公园。眼下，龙灵山频繁在各大新媒体平台现身，顺着手机里的网红图片寻去，你总会看到青春时尚的小哥哥、小姐姐，持续来此拍照打卡，尽享都市“野趣”。
“Young” as it is, it is currently the largest secondary forest park in Wuhan. And it appears on major new media frequently. In search of viral tourist sites seen online, it's not uncommon to find young millennials visiting the park to take pictures and enjoy Wuhan's “fun in the wild”.
生态资本引来百类鸟儿
Ecological Environment Attracts Various Bird Species
很多人以为进来玩要收费，其实这里是免费的开放式生态公园。
Most people assume that an entry fee would be charged for such a park, but as a matter of fact, the Longling Mountain scenic spot is a free and open ecological park.
园区内虽然不能驱车驶入，但北入口设有停车场。不像木兰山和东湖的广域，轻松的徒步，是与龙灵山的最好交流方式。绿叶呼吸吐纳，负氧离子在空气中碰撞；水草摇曳生姿，绿水碧波里流光倒影。
While cars are forbidden in the park, there is a parking lot at its north entrance. A simple hike is the best way to enjoy Longling Mountain, because it is not as vast as the Mulan Mountain and East Lake. As green leaves respire, negative oxygen ions fly in the air and swaying water plants are reflected in the green water.
龙灵山景区最大的亮点是拥有完整的森林、湿地生态系统。其中，国家一、二类保护植物20多种，鸟类60余种，小型动物50多种。多年前从东湖“消失”的武汉鸟语林，现在又“飞”回了江城，4000只鸟儿择龙灵山脚而栖。
Having its own complete ecosystem with the forest and wetland is the biggest highlight of the Longling Mountain Scenic Spot. It's home to more than 20 kinds of national protected plants, more than 60 species of birds, and more than 50 kinds of small animals. The Wuhan Bird Forest, which disappeared from the East Lake many years ago, has now returned, with 4,000 birds settling at the foot of Longling Mountain.
大家都说，漫山遍红的芝樱花海是“春日限定”，若想把野餐垫铺到水边，九曲湾湿地则更是“限量款”。这是一处季节性景观，当每年的春天招手而去后，湿地便会被通顺河水没过，水岸线“九曲”变“一曲”。
Everyone says that the red sea of phlox subulata that covers the whole mountain is the park's “spring collection”. If one would like to have a picnic by the river, the Jiuquwan wetland is even more of a “limited-edition”. As a seasonal landscape, every year when spring fades into summer, the wetland is submerged by the Tongshun river resulting in its curving shoreline becoming even.

Eye-Catching Landscape Makes Camping More Enjoyable
来龙灵山搞莫斯？森林间漫步，星空下聊天，森林里安家，鸟鸣中苏醒……春和景明中，大大小小的帐篷，构成了龙灵山“五彩斑斓的绿”，仿佛在撩拨着首次光临的游客：快过来露营呀！
So you finally get to Longling Mountain, and now what? You can wander off in the forest, chat under the stars, put up tents in the forest, and wake up to the song of birds... In the gorgeous vernal scenery, all sizes of tents form a “colorfully green” Longling Mountain, attracting new tourists by saying “Come on over and camp here!”
这里不只有山，还有大片的平坦草地。支起帐篷，铺开餐垫，系上吊床，坐拥森林、湖光、山色、阳光和新鲜空气，小成本就能玩转大自然。游客们都说，这里山水相依，景观立体，比大多数湿地、湖畔都要更惬意。
Mountains are not the only thing to see, large flat meadows can also be found here. Surrounded by forests, lakes, mountains, sunshine and fresh air, one can pitch a tent, spread out a table mat, sling a hammock and enjoy nature at a low cost. Tourists say that the mountains and rivers perfectly compliment each other, the landscape is eye-catching, making it a more pleasurable site for tourists compared to most wetlands and lakes.
在龙灵山南麓的湿地边，房车营地和帐篷营地已成规模，方便游客“空手来、空手走”体验露营野趣。代表着12星座的12台房车旁，还设有烧烤区，撸上一串，畅饮一杯，再在幽森的山边睡上一晚，足以让人忘却钢筋水泥的束缚。
Campsites for RVs and tents have increased to a considerable scale near the wetlands at the southern foot of Longling Mountain, which makes it convenient for tourists to experience the joy of camping by having “zero luggage”. With a barbecue area next to the 12 RVs that represent the 12 constellations of the zodiac, one can enjoy a beer and a few kebabs before taking a sweet nights rest by the tranquil mountains, away from the hustle and bustle of “concrete jungles”.
要在这里过上两天一夜，千亩茶园、百亩荷塘、十里花坡等景点，可一一列入打卡名单。还有更多游乐项目，让宝爸宝妈们再也不愁“熊孩子”无处撒野。
For a two-day trip，a large-scale tea garden, lotus pond, hill dotted with various flowers and other beautiful attractions are all great additions to a must-see list. And as for parents, they have no need to worry about their children getting bored since there is a wide selection of entertainment facilities available.
废矿蝶变犹如卧龙显灵
The Dramatic Change of an Abandoned Mine
昔日的龙灵山，曾是一个因矿石过度采伐而留下的废弃矿坑。
In the past, Longling Mountain was once an abandoned mine as a result of excessive mining.
上世纪90年代，龙灵山所在的硃山片区，10多家采石场在此进驻，炸山采石，生态环境遭到破坏，留下数十个矿坑，大的几十亩，深度二三十米，成为印刻在山体上的“伤疤”。
In the 1990s, more than 10 quarries were stationed in the Zhushan area where Longling Mountain is located. The ecological environment was destroyed as a result of the blasting and quarrying, leaving behind dozens of pits. These “scars” left behind on the mountains range in size with the larger ones covering an area of dozens of mu(1 mu is the equivalent of 0.165 acre) with a depth of around 20 to 30 meters.
2006年，武汉经开区托管军山街，停采闭坑，整治危岩体，削坡固化，修复山体，6万平方米废弃矿坑全部回填，充分利用原始地形地貌，按郊野公园的定位修建了龙灵山生态公园。
In 2006, the Wuhan Economic Development Zone took charge of Junshan Street, putting an end to mining, repairing dangerous rocks, and reinforcing hillsides. Through the restoration of the mountain, all abandoned pits totaling 60,000 square meters have since been backfilled. Longling Mountain Ecological Park was then later built in accordance to the requirements of a suburban park by making full use of its original topography and landform.
2012年5月，武汉市政府确定了总面积50平方公里“都市绿肺”的建设思路，龙灵山生态休闲区便是其中之一。
In May 2012, the Wuhan municipal government finalized the construction plan of “an urban green lung” covering 50 square kilometers that includes the Longling Mountain Ecological Leisure Zone.
时至今日，生态修复后的龙灵山，蝶变为城市“绿肺”，堪称生态奇迹。通顺河和朱山湖水系各居一侧，主山脉宛如一条巨龙滨水而卧，如巨龙显灵，其名称便由此而来。
After ecological restoration, Longling Mountain has already become the “green lung” of the city, making it an ecological miracle as it were. As the Tongshun River and Zhushan Lake ‘sandwich’ the main mountain, the scene resembles a dragon lying in the water. And this is the origin of its name Longling which in Chinese means “the dragon appears”.
